What exactly is an abortion?
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy. It means that a doctor has to remove the baby by removing or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo, resulting in or caused by its death. Abortion is the leading cause or medical procedure to end a females' decision in their duration of pregnancy. The typical woman who ends her pregnancy is either young, white, unmarried, poor, or over the age of 40, but there are also many other reasons, such as not ready to be a parent, bad home life, or even religious reasons. Twenty to thirty million women get abortions each year. Once your pregnancy has been confirmed, and the doctor knows how many weeks along the pregnancy is, and you have decided to end the pregnancy, the procedure offered typically reflects your stage of gestation. Early abortions can be accomplished medically or surgically, but most facilities do not have the protocols established or personnel with the technical ability to offer medical abortions (with pills). Therefore, most abortions are performed surgically. For a first-trimester termination, particularly at less than 10 weeks' gestation, rarely do you need to have your cervix dilated (enlarged so the contents of the uterus can pass through and out of your body). If you are in the latter part of the first trimester (first three months), you may have a small sterilized stick called a laminaria japonica (or more than one) placed in your cervix to open it. These laminaria take about four hours to be useful and may be placed overnight. Any questions...just let me know, I will help as much as I can!

Why do people's opinions on abortion differ from pro-abortion and against abortion?
Many people have different views on the idea of abortion. People for it believe that it is okay and that people have the right to make that decision on their own, while others believe that it is wrong and that every baby deserves to have a chance at life. Most believers in this process think that it is just a choice that one makes in life for their own reasons. Whether it’s between the scare of raising a child, giving birth, not ready, or various other reasons, it is just a choice. On the other hand, non-believers state that just because you aren’t ready, it isn’t what you want right now, or any other reason, that baby inside of you deserves a shot. Just because of the fact that you didn’t take enough action to be safe, doesn’t mean you have to take it out on your baby, they did nothing wrong. There are many opinions to this topic, but which one is actually the best choice for you? or Is there a correct side you should take on this? Tell me what you think! I can’t wait to hear!

Here is yet another funny picture that can mean something great. Everyone can have the one nervous breakdown, but it takes a lot of courage to stay strong when everything is going wrong. Someone once told me that no matter what you do, if you stay strong you will make it out on top and you can become what you want. That person has now passed on, but the memories still stay with me. By this I mean that the memory of you coming out on top and you being the bigger person will stay with you, but loosing or making the wrong choice will just fall in with the other disappointments. I'm not saying that the bad memories won't stay with you, but they might stay with you for the wrong reasons and that's probably not what you want. Make the right choices and come out on top, don't end up like this poor mad in the picture. If you would like to save this image, please click on it to see where I got it from so you can save it from there if you so please.
People may say how does this relate to what I have been talking about? It relates in a very simple but complex way. It is saying that no matter what is ahead of you or what is in your past, you can overcome it because you can find the power from within yourself. Whether it's in your mind or in your heart, it's a part of you that you can use to your benefit. If you don't understand how I am relating it, please feel free to leave me a comment. If you would like to keep this picture by saving it, if you click on it, it will take you to the page of where I got it from. Enjoy!

Life goes on!
Everyone thinks that there is a down part in life, a hole that you can't dig yourself out of. Many people fall into this hole due to stress. The thing is, you can dig yourself out, and you just have to have a little strength. Whether it's about nothing that really matters or something that's a big deal, everyone faces something close to it, so you're not alone whatsoever. The teen years often bring an increasing amount of stress as young adults learn to cope with increasing demands and pressures. Teens may have a harder time, but it can happen to anyone. I myself try my best to stay confident with a support group, some people tell me to try something I like, such as a hobby or talent, and others choose to remove themselves from them situation. After a hard day, I tried to calm myself down by using a new method, junk food. Chocolate solves all, but sometimes it makes matters worse. You can eat away your feelings or frustrations, but it only puts them aside for awhile, it doesn't solve it. It may make the problems hidden, but they will only reappear real soon. I woke up in the morning feeling the same way I had before I started eating chocolate. It made it better for the time being, but it didn't solve it. If you want to show the world that you aren't scared of stress, stand up for yourself and make the right decision.

What happens in life.
I recently wrote a blog on how stress comes into your life right when you don't need it to. I had a lot of family issues today and then I got some news that my friend was not doing to good. She was having a hard time breathing and experiencing some pain in her chest. She went to the doctors and was given an inhaler to help. It didn't work and she found herself in the hospital for 3 hours getting tests and x-rays. Me and a friend waited around to hear the news, trying to pass the time was excruciating Wondering what was going on, researching illnesses, trying to stay calm for her sake...it was all too much. Walking away from things like that make you so much for panicked and stressed than you need to be. It is way easier to do things like that and to stay calm if you have someone there with you. My friends and I remain close together, like most friends do. We stay calm together, and help each other through things. We have our annual little talks in my basement with comfort food, a calming movie, and blankets in case we fall asleep. Taking turns talking about things with the people you trust is one way to get some things off of your chest or get some help. Next time you find yourself feeling stressed out, try to get a group of friends together and have a long chat. It might help, but it might not. Feel free to leave me a comment.

Help is on the way!
You might wonder why I'm the one who is stressed all the time. Some things like Advice and games might calm you down, but then again, they might not. It all depends on how you react to the situation and what type of a person you are. You might say what is stress or why is it effecting me more than others. These things tell you how you will respond to different types of treatment. On a website that was sent to me through an email, there are 4 key treatments. Many people resist the help or think that it will be okay if they ignore it. It will not be okay. From experience, I have figured out that if you ignore it, it will only come to hurt you or make you explode. By this I mean if something says something to you and you take it offensively, you will yell at them or make an outburst of some type, and most likely embarrass yourself. My advice, calmly talk to someone about it, whether it's a friend, a neighbor, someone you consider family or even someone you trust, just talk about it. I talk to my two close friends and my neighbor whom I consider family. He and I have grown up together and nothing is a secret between us. He's two years older than me, but it does not matter. Believe me; it will honestly help you to talk. If you are worried about judging or those thinking less of you don't worry about it, if they are truly your friend, they won't.

What is stress?
Do you find yourself worrying about tests and schoolwork, eating on the run because you can't find enough time in your schedule to sit down or even skipping a meal to make time for something else? It's normal, even one has theses problems. Tension, mental strain, or emotional stress or how we are reacting to something causes all these things to happen to you. How you act can determine the stress level that you are encountering. It's the body's way of rising to a challenge and preparing to meet a tough situation with focus, strength, stamina, and heightened alertness. The human body responds to several things by making your mind think that things are way worse than they are. Most people show that they are stressed by tapping their foot, moving their legs, tapping their fingers on the desk, or tap the pencil on the desk. Even though it may not be important to you it can still cause you to panic. These things are normal, don't sweat it, it happens to everyone at some point in time in their life. Relax and take things slowly, stay calm and it will all work out.

Solve It!
I found a website about getting along with others. It talks about many ways to handle dealing with some conflict. You have options. 1. Take a deep breath and try to calm yourself down. 2. Think before you act, is what you’re going to say affect someone else or upset him or her in some way? 3. Keep your voice low, calm and talk slowly. 4. Remove yourself from the situation, walk away, and leave the room for a minute so that way you can gain your composer. 5. There is the loud option, yelling, screaming and arguing your point of view. 6. The quiet choice, walking away or saying that it will not affect you or you think it will go away. 7. Talk about it equally, allows each person to tell how they feel and get their feelings out in the air. Both people in an argument with both feed off of what the other people are doing. It could help anyone and it depends on their situation and what has happened. Advice can always help. My advice to you is to talk about it equally so that everyone feels like they had a say in what happened or they got to be a part in it in some way. It would be better for everyone and make things a lot less complex than they need to be.

Help Me...
As part of Team 3, I am excited to be blogging this year on the topic of co-existence. I chose to write about being stressed. Life comes with many unexpected things from bumps in the road to life changing experiences. Changes in life happen in the most random times of your life, bad or good; you can't stop it from coming. As a stressed teen worried about family matters and school, life comes with even more challenges. Over the past few years many people have been talking to me about how they feel all alone, or that they feel like no one else is going through the same things they are, and that's the exact opposite. Many people in the world are in the same situations but just aren't as upfront about it as some others might be. How to change that? Get close with one another, tell them that you are always there for them, be able to talk to them and communicate without anything having to be in between. It might seem like the whole world is against you but to tell you the truth, I have found out that it makes life a lot easier when you know that you have someone on your side, fighting your battles with you. My neighbor has always been there for me since we were little kids, he still is now and I know that I can depend on him for anything. Comment me back with any advice that would help me be a lot less stressed or let me know if I can help you :)
